After an off-season that felt like an eternity, Weekend Warriors is back. Fan-I Sports's weekly NFL article that commends the winners and scolds the losers of the NFL world on a week to week basis.

Best Team of the Week

The Tom Brady-less New England Patriots had a really impressive win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night. Not only is Tom Brady one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, he is the Patriots emotional leader. So for the Patriots to pull out a win without him against a Super Bowl contender like the Cardinals, is definitely Best Team of the Week worthy. Only time will tell if that win is a real indication of the Patriots or a fluke, however, for at least one week the Patriots are the team of the week.

Worst Team of the Week

Not only are the Rams the Worst team of the Week, they also were on the losing end of a very boring blowout. Keep in mind that I actually like blowouts because seeing teams getting destroyed and players completely lose control of a situation is very entertaining. With that being said, the Rams played awful football on both sides of the ball. The Rams on paper are better than this and hopefully they show it this season.

Best Player of the Week

It's not often a safety wins this award but Kam Chancellor was outstanding in my opinion. Honorable Mention to Matthew Stafford but it is actually amazing how Kam Chancellor can hit so hard, so clean, and stay healthy day in and day out. Seven hard tackles at safety is no easy feat. To be honest, it is a lot more impressive in today's era of football for a safety to make a game saving play after game saving play in one game then for quarterbacks to throw 300+ yards. That's why Kam Chancellor is getting the Best Player of the Week.

Worst Player of the Week

Matthew Stafford was very good, but a major reason why is because Antonio Cromartie was awful. Cromartie got lit up on a lot of plays against the Lions and blew his assignment on the play that ultimately won the Lions the game Sunday. To be honest, it is not all his fault as the Colts secondary as a whole were abysmal but Cromartie is way better than what football fans saw in Week one.

Game of the Week

Week 1 was barnburner city so this was a tough decision but from a pure entertainment standpoint, the Patriots vs Cardinals was the game of the week. Yes Cowboys and Giants was good as well but the Patriots vs Cardinals had high class football, good performance, and just the right amount of blunders that added to the entertainment of the game.

Game to watch for Next Week

The Pittsburgh Steelers vs the Cincinnati Bengals should be a good game. If I need to remind you why, go back and watch how the Bengals blew it in the playoffs against the Steelers. There is probably no love lost between the two teams and this game will have an added intensity to it. Not to mention that both teams are actually good at football.

My big takeaway is that it seems like many teams are actually around the same level for now. The rigors of an NFL season can possibly change that. However, parity is a welcome change after last year were it was basically a three team race. Next week will be interesting.
