Home Sweet Home
Kevin Durant was born in Washington, DC and raised in Prince Georges County, which is in Maryland right outside of DC. He attended Montrose Christian, a national High School Powerhouse located right outside of DC. Summer of 2016, KD will be a free agent and already Wizard fans are petitioning for him to comeback home. I'm not sure if KD wants to play for the Wiz but looking at the numbers, I can tell he like playing against them.
This was a well played game by both teams, one I thought that the Wizards would walk away with. Instead the Thunder outscored the Wiz 56-42 in the second half after walking into halftime down 38-50. In the second half, the Wizards struggled to get buckets up thanks to the Thunder defense. The Thunder are underrated when it comes to defense. When you look at how athletic they are at each position, it's not hard to see why teams struggle to score against them.
KD and Russell have been on point since they returned. The Thunder are officially above .500 and remain 3 1/2 games behind the Suns. Both Russell and KD combined for 68 points, making this the 31st time both have scored 30+. The negative though is that no one else scored more than 15, Anthony Marrow being the third leading scorer with 10 points.
Russell scored the game winning bucket with 0.3 seconds remaining, which was a simple layup at the rim. Not one Wizards player attempted to stop the ball, probably one of the easiest game winners ever.
KD averages 30 points in 13 games against the Wizards, his third highest against any team, reason why I said he likes playing the Wizards. Many people in this area think he will come to the Wizards in 2016 and I feel the complete opposite. I don't see him turning his back on OKC, somewhere he has spent his entire career. KD doesn't come off as the type that would go from team to team, even if it is his hometown. I think KD main goal is to bring a title to OKC and I don't see him leaving before he accomplish that.
