"I'm going to knock his head off", Denton Daley-Sly Louis pre-fight press conference.

[TORONTO, ONTARIO] Another high profile title fight is coming to the 6ix. Global Legacy boxing has announced that the vacant Commonwealth British Empire Cruiserwieght Championship is on the line as 8th ranked (WBA) “Dangerous” Denton Daley will square off against Sylvera ‘Sly’ Louis on September 9th, 2016 at the Masonic Temple in Toronto.

Toronto born and Brampton raised, Denton Daley, may be 34 but has developed a reputation of being one of the best Canadian boxers in his short career. Daley debuted in 2010 and has not looked back since. Daley has proven that he is indeed ‘Dangerous’, with a record of 15-1 with 8 by way of knockout. The two are friends but both made it clear that the friendship will not affect their performance. During the press conference Daley’s demeanor was quite serious as he closed with this comment,

“I’ll say what I said to my Lawyer early this morning, I am going to knock his head clean off”. His opponent “Sly” louis was in a much more of a jovial mood and was actually mostly all smiles. With that being said during the press conference, the Montreal native made it clear that he does not want to leave it in the judge’s hands “I am not going to win by decision… I like the clear cut win”.

Former Commonwealth Champion and boxing Hall of Famer, Lennox Lewis, stressed the importance of the commonwealth championship by saying “Winning the commonwealth was very important for me because I am part of the Commonwealth… the Commonwealth title was definitely one of the belts I wanted to win in my career”.

The passion of the Commonwealth championship was not lost on Denton Daley as he commented on how important the commonwealth championship is to him “Any way you chop it up or however you want to look at it, it is a major title”

The undercard is also quite stacked as it features Oleksandr “The Panther” Teslenko, Sandy “L’IL Tyson” Tsagouris, Marx Munoz Francia, and Michael “Armani” Brandon. If readers of this article do nothing else for their day, Fan-I sports implores you to look up everyone announced on this card but Teslenko and Tsagouris in particular. Teslenko is still relatively new to the pro boxing scene but he comes with an amateur boxing pedigree and is a beast who is 6-0 with 5 Knockouts in his pro career. Sandy Tsagouris is one of the best female super featherweights in the world and with the rise of interest in female combat sports, Tsagouris is another woman to check out.

Tickets for Daley vs Louis will be on sale on the websitewww.globallegacyboxing.com and the fight will be available by stream.
