High School Basketball has become a primary sport in the Baltimore/DC region. Many current NBA stars are from the area such as Ty Lawson, Kevin Durant, and Carmelo Anthony. It's nothing but talent in the region and we want to do our best at putting light on the best hotbed for high school recruits.
Shoutout to DMVelite, they are the leaders in the DMV high school basketball region, very great at finding talent. Now lets get into this great match up between the Panthers of Paul VI(VA) and the Cadets of St. Johns(DC). The Panthers beat their WCAC foe earlier this season by 20 in St. Johns gym but it was the Cadets turn go into a hostile environment and pulled out the victory, thanks to that last second shot by Darrien Anderson. The crowd was so hostile that after Anderson knocked down the shot and his teammates rushed the floor, the student section started throwing trash at them. Now I don't condone that type of behavior but that should let you know what type of rivalry this is. The Panthers are definitely the best team in the region, 15-3 so far this season but the Cadets haven't loss since that 20 point defeat they suffered December 12th, currently on a 13 game win streak. During the streak they have defeated tough teams like Potomac(MD), Gonzaga(DC) twice, and Dematha(MD). This veteran team led by seniors Tre Campbell, James Palmer and Darian Anderson has a great opportunity to win the best conference in the country, WCAC. These two are not scheduled to play again this season, but I have a real good feeling that these two will meet in the WCAC tournament for all the marbles.
