Everyone give a big hand clap to the Atlanta Hawks for winning 19 consecutive games in the NBA. This was a great feat, one that should be celebrated, but mainly a solid way to walk into February. Since December 28th to February 1st, the Hawks won 19 straight and became the number 1 seed in the East by 7 games. We know all streaks must come to an end though, so shoutout to the Pelicans for stepping up to the plate and getting the job done. I'm pretty sure Tyreke Evans, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the Pelicans team walked on the court with the mentality that they were going to end the Hawks' streak. Reke & Davis combined for 44 points, 18 boards, 15 dimes for the Pelicans but this was a great team effort. Everyone came to hoop today for the Pelicans Asik grabbed 17 boards, Gordon dropped 20, and the bench came up with 32 points from Anderson, Jimmer, and Poindexter.
