The Lady Terps of Maryland are 2 games away from being National Champions, making it to their 5th Final Four since 2006. Coach Brenda Frese has built a national powerhouse in Women's college basketball since taking over in 2002. The Lady Terps won the 2006 National title and I have a good feeling they can go for another one. That 2006 team included some great players like Kristi Toliver, Crystal Langhorne, and Marissa Coleman, who were all underclassman. This year's squad is led by Alyssa Thomas, who scored 22 points and snatched 13 boards in the Terps 76-73 win over the Louisville Lady Cardinals to advance. Next for the Terps though are the undefeated Lady Irish of Notre Dame. The Terps played the Irish earlier in the season but lost by 4 points. Hopefully we can have a different outcome this time. Go Terps.

When these dudes signed their contracts 4 years ago, the one thing that didn't get talked about was how they can opt after 4 years. I know that players have the option to opt but I never heard of them doing it 2 years before the contract expires. Usually its a year before or maybe I haven't been paying attention much to the contracts. Anyway, this is the year they all can opt out and it keeps coming up in the newswire. D-Wade in an ESPN interview spoke about the contract situation, saying he isn't really worried about it and hasn't made a decision about it.

I've been with the same organization for now 11 years. We've won multiple championships, so it's no reason where I need to think about that yet. I'm not at a point where we are a bad team and I need to think about the future so right now I'm really focused on just enjoying this team, enjoying our quest to try to 'Three-peat.

Win or lose I see this being the last year of the Heat's Big 3.

Today marked the beginning of the end for Derek Jeter, playing in his final Opening Day game. Unfortunately, the Yankees suffered an L in their season opener to the Astros, 6-2, Jeter went 1-3 with a base hit. For the remaining of the season, the MLB will pay their respect to "The Captain" with farewells ceremonies. The Media will also be in full force with their retirement coverage, and honestly, he deserve it.

Well its official, Desean will be catching passes from RG3 in a Redskins uniform. The seven year vet signed a 3 year deal with the Skins and will get the opportunity to play his former team twice. First question I have is, Who gets to wear #10? Besides that, I'm not surprised D.Jack decided to stay in the division, especially with how the Eagles threw him to curb. If you don't think D.Jack doesn't want to make Chip Kelly and the whole Eagles organization look stupid, think again.

Stephen Curry has pretty much solidified himself as one of the best players in the NBA. He is damn near unarguable, with great handles and unlimited range, its hard to stop him from getting his shot off. And if he do get it off, more than likely he will hit the shot. Warriors are currently in the 6th spot in the West, 2 games ahead of the Sun and Grizzlies. Only 5 playoff spots left, there are 6 teams fighting for a spot, Mavs currently outside looking in after this heartbreaking loss. With less than 10 games left, this will surely be a mad dash to the finish for these final 5 spots.
