The Wiz Kids went to battle with the Pistons Wednesday Night but pulled out a win in front of the home crowd. John Wall and Brandon Jennings had their own personal duel, both dropping doubles-doubles with points and assist. These two were prime players during the summer of 2011 , when the NBA players put on shows in local neighborhood gyms across the country. Wall's supporting cast was the difference maker in this game, 4 other players also finished in double-digits. Rasual Butler scored 11 of his 18 points in the free throw, 2 of which were game clinching free throws in the final seconds. Wizards have a very solid team this season. People are projecting Wall to average 10 dimes this season, and with this squad, it is very possible. Even though Wall is the best player on this team, also leader, I think this team will go as far as Nene and Gortat take them. These two have to continue being dominant in order for the Wizards to take the East.
*Neither team bench eclipsed 20+ points.*
*Kyle Korver also finished with a double-double, 17 points and 10 boards.*
Damian Lillard has been playing very exceptional in this early season. We all know that he is one of the best PGs in the league but if he continues at this rate, we will have to consider claiming him as the best PG in the league. The only reason why I wouldn't put him as that is because he is still a young cub in the league. With Russell out though, that top spot spot is up for grabs.
